This Sunday, Pastor Kike delivered an encouraging message reminding us that God is still at work in our lives. Drawing from Philippians 1:6 and Ephesians 2:10, she spoke to those who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unworthy—assuring them that their journey is not over.
Who Is This Message For?
This message speaks to different groups of people:
- Those who have fallen repeatedly in their faith and feel unworthy.
- Those feeling oppressed by the wicked and struggling in life’s battles.
- Those facing various attacks—spiritual, emotional, mental, or relational.
- Those who feel stuck in life, going in circles without progress.
If you relate to any of these, you are not alone. God is still working on you.
Signs That You Are a Work in Progress
Even as Christians, we may struggle in different areas:
- Struggling with faith – Like the Israelites who doubted God’s provision (Ex. 16:2-3, Mk 4:35-41).
- Failing in character – Examples include David’s sin (2 Sam 11:2-17) and Jacob’s deception.
- Doubting God’s promises – Just like Thomas (Jn 20:24-29) and Gideon (Judg 6:36-40).
- Disappointment when plans fail – Jonah was angry when things didn’t go as expected (Jonah 4:1-4).
- Comparing yourself to others – The Pharisee in Luke 18:9-14 thought he was better than others, but comparison only leads to pride or discouragement (2 Cor 10:12).
What Should You Do?
If you recognize yourself in these struggles, here’s how to respond:
- Have hope in hopeless situations – Trust that nothing is too hard for God (Rom 4:18, Gen 18:9-14).
- Ask God to increase your faith – Even the disciples asked for this (Lk 17:5). When you fall, rise again (Prov 24:16).
- Do not judge others – Instead of looking at others’ flaws, focus on your own growth (Matt 7:1-5, Jn 8:1-8).
- Surrender to God’s plan – His purpose will always prevail (Prov 3:5-6, Rom 8:28).
- Take it one day at a time – God gives strength for today (Lam 3:22-23, Phil 4:13).
Final Encouragement
No matter where you are in your journey, don’t give up. God sees your progress, and He is not done with you yet. Keep trusting, keep growing, and keep moving forward.
