Pastor AB’s sermon on Sunday was all about Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit—and it was a powerful reminder of what it means to truly grow in our faith. He encouraged everyone not to be ashamed of identifying as a child of God, even in the marketplace (Rom 1:16-17). He also talked about how, when we fall, we shouldn’t hide or stay down—God wants us to get back up (Gen 3:6-8).

Another key point was about putting away childish things (1 Cor 13:11) and taking our spiritual growth seriously. Pastor AB challenged us to fact-check the sermons we hear, just like the Berean Christians did (Acts 17:10-12, NLT), and to fight against spiritual laziness with everything in us (Esther 3:7; Acts 23:12-13; Eccl 10:18).

He also reminded us to protect relationships that help us grow spiritually (2 Kings 5:24-27) and to stay consistent in our faith (1 Cor 15:58; Gal 6:9; Dan 6:10). One of the most encouraging parts of the message was about seeing difficulties as opportunities to grow (Phil 4:12-13, NLT; Rom 5:3-5, NLT).

It was a strong and practical message—one that really makes you reflect on where you are in your walk with God.
