"My Stone of Help"
I Samuel 7:1–12
A Message by Pastor Abraham
Dear CFAN Family,
Grace and peace to everyone. This week, Pastor Abraham delivered a powerful message titled "My Stone of Help", drawn from I Samuel 7:1–12. The message reminds us that God is not only the One who helps us in moments of crisis, but the One who faithfully carries us through every season of life.
Samuel set up a stone called Ebenezer, declaring, "Thus far the Lord has helped us." That stone represents remembrance, progress, and confidence in God's continued faithfulness.
Understanding Your Stone of Help
Your stone of help represents moments where God intervened in your life. It is a testimony of survival, provision, restoration, and grace.
- Moments God rescued you
- Seasons God provided unexpectedly
- Battles God helped you overcome
- Doors God opened when none were visible
These are not random experiences. They are evidence of God's hand over your life.
It Honors Past Faithfulness
"I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds."
Remembering what God has done builds spiritual strength. When you recall His past works, fear loses influence over your present.
Take time to remember where God brought you from. Your past victories are proof that He is still faithful today.
It Marks Present Progress
"Samuel then took a large stone and placed it between the towns of Mizpah and Jeshanah. He named it Ebenezer — 'the stone of help' — for he said, 'Up to this point the Lord has helped us!'"
Samuel placed the stone in the middle of their journey, not at the end. This shows us that progress must be recognized, even while we are still growing.
- You are not where you used to be
- God is still working in your life
- Every step forward matters
Progress becomes visible when gratitude replaces comparison.
It Provides Future Confidence
"I will be your God throughout your lifetime — until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you."
Your confidence for tomorrow is built on God's faithfulness yesterday. The same God who carried you before will carry you again.
You are not walking into the future alone. God goes ahead of you and sustains you along the way.

Reflection for the Week
Take time this week to reflect on your own "stone of help."
- Where has God helped you that you have forgotten?
- What victories should you write down?
- Who needs to hear your testimony?
- Are you trusting God with your future?
Do not rush past your testimonies. Let remembrance strengthen your faith.

Pause and remember His help. Write it down. Share it. Build your faith from it.
Stay anchored in remembrance. Stay confident in God.
